Telemedicine Information from our Trainers

Hello,
First and foremost, I hope this letter finds you safe and healthy. For those of you that are not
aware, Northside Hospital Gwinnett has had a partnership with Gwinnett County Public Schools
to provide athletic trainers at the majority of the high schools in Gwinnett for many years. Like
most of you, the coronavirus pandemic has changed the way that we are able to conduct
business. As medical professionals, we are able to use to face to face evaluations and
rehabilitations to keep your student athletes healthy. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide a
face to face evaluation or treatment at this time. That being said, we would like to offer
telemedicine appointments to provide continued care to those athletes with existing conditions
prior to the school shut down, and evaluations for new injuries that may have occurred after the
school shut down.
We will be using applications such as Zoom, Skype, and Facetime to conduct these visits. The
visits are with written parent approval only, and free of charge. Through these times and always,
Northside Hospital is committed to providing excellent care to the community. We will get
through this together!
Sincerely,

Doug Wardy, MA, LAT, ATC, ITAT
